Artichoke extract, Novofit are used for the treatment and prevention of gall bladder diseases, urolithiasis, hepatitis and atherosclerosis. Artichoke is very useful for the digestive tract and normalizing the acidity of gastric juice. It prevents atherosclerosis, is useful for the liver and biliary tract.

Pharmacodynamics. A preparation of plant origin containing artichoke extract. Has a choleretic, hepatoprotective, diuretic effect.

The pharmacological effect is due to the complex of biologically active substances included in the composition of the drug: cynarin, chlorogenic acid, ascorbic acid, carotene, vitamins of group B, inulin. The main active substance of the drug – cynarin – has, mainly, a choleretic effect. Cholekinetic action is expressed to a lesser extent. Ascorbic acid, carotene, B vitamins and inulin improve metabolic processes.

Artichoke extract, Novofit stimulates bile secretion, lowers the level of cholesterol in the blood, stimulates the regeneration of hepatocytes, has a diuretic and hypolipidemic effect. Reduces the feeling of fullness or distension of the stomach, eliminates spasm.

Artichoke extract, Novofit promotes the excretion of urea, creatinine, as well as toxins (including nitro compounds, alkaloids, salts of heavy metals) from the body.

Chemical composition. The plant contains glycosides, phenolic acids, proteins, carbohydrates, carotene, inulin, phosphates, iron, vitamins of groups B and C, calcium salts and carotene, as well as organic acids.

Pharmacological action. Artichoke extract has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-atherosclerotic, cleansing and tonic effects.
