Extract of Icelandic moss (cetraria of Iceland), Novofit, 30 ml

The presence of acids gives the plant bitterness, and also determines its antiseptic and tonic properties. The rich composition of microelements, the presence of polysaccharides contribute to strengthening the protective forces of the human body.

The main active component of cetraria is lichenin, a polysaccharide whose share in lichen reaches 40%.

Pharmacological properties. Icelandic moss extract has an immune-modulating, anti-inflammatory effect, has an antimicrobial, antioxidant, absorbent, oncoprotective effect on the human body. Mucous substance eliminates irritation, envelops the inflamed mucous membranes of the stomach, oral cavity, larynx, and small intestine.

Extract of Icelandic moss (Cetraria Icelandic) Novofit improves digestion, cleanses blood and lymph, has an anti-inflammatory effect. Polysaccharides of Icelandic moss have the ability to protect the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract from the influence of various chemical factors.

It has been established that certain lichen acids exhibit pronounced antimicrobial activity. Especially valuable is usnic acid, which has strong antibiotic activity.

Novofit Icelandic moss extract has a beneficial effect on the work of the intestines and stomach, activating its secretory function and thereby increasing appetite. In the treatment of tuberculosis, the active substance of cetraria is usnic acid. It can inhibit the growth of gram-positive bacteria, including Koch’s bacillus, which is the causative agent of tuberculosis.
Means based on Icelandic moss showed a good result in the treatment of mastopathy, depression, obesity, inflammation of the conjunctiva of the eyes.

Extract of Icelandic moss (cetraria icelandia), Novofit – application:

Application method. The extract is used internally: add 5-7 drops to water, juices, compotes, phytococktails, warm tea (below 60°C) 3 times a day.

Contraindication. Icelandic moss extract is not recommended for use during pregnancy, children under 5 years of age, and in case of individual intolerance to the drug.

Chemical composition. The plant contains polysaccharides, lichen acids, starchy substances, micro and trace elements: iron, iodine, copper, manganese, wax, gum, pigment substances, vitamin B12 and vitamin C.
