Indole 3 – carbinol contains indole isolated from broccoli cabbage in its pure form. The protective effect of plants is due to their high content of indole – tryptophan nucleus, one of the coded amino acids and indole derivatives – ascorbygen and isothiocyanates, which are able to activate anti-cancer genes and, in turn, block genes that contribute to the development of cancer.
